Competition Description

The International Conference on Sustainable Technologies (ICST 2024) is a groundbreaking event designed to foster collaboration and innovation in sustainable technology. This conference serves as a global platform for academics, researchers, and industry experts to come together and share their latest research, insights, and developments. The focus were on cutting-edge advancements and practical applications in renewable energy, storage, solid state devices, Quantum Science and Technology, Data science, ML, and AI, and environmental sustainability. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in discussions, workshops, and presentations that highlight the latest trends and technologies aimed at addressing some of the most pressing environmental challenges of our time. Almost over 300 researchers around the globe joined the conference and participated in the competition of various categories.

Students' Testimonials

In this research, a novel SERS substrate was developed using anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) membranes, chosen for their unique nanostructured, highly ordered pores. To enhance SERS signals, a 13 nm silver (Ag) layer was deposited onto the AAO surface via electron gun (E-gun) evaporation, leveraging Ag’s strong Raman amplification properties, particularly in the visible spectrum. This substrate was used to detect adenine—a purine nucleobase found in DNA and RNA—at low concentrations, demonstrating the substrate's sensitivity and potential in biomolecular detection applications.
