update date : 2026-05-08

The Global Conference on Sensors & Artificial Intelligence Learning (SAIL-26), held from April 16–19, 2026, in Kolkata, India, concluded on a highly successful and inspiring note, drawing widespread participation from the international research community. The conference was jointly organized by Ming Chi University of Technology (Department of Electronic Engineering and Center for Reliability Engineering), Ramakrishna Mission Residential College, Narendrapur, and the Sensor & Artificial Intelligence Lab, Ming Chi University of Technology.

Nearly 100 researchers, professors, and students from seven countries participated in the hybrid event, engaging in both in-person and online sessions. The conference served as a vibrant platform for exchanging ideas on cutting-edge developments in sensing technologies and the expanding role of artificial intelligence in real-world applications. Discussions covered a wide range of topics, including intelligent sensing systems, environmental monitoring, healthcare applications, and AI-driven data analytics.

A standout highlight of SAIL-26 was the introduction of the Empowerment Award, presented to school students for their innovative contributions in sensors and AI. This initiative drew particular attention, reflecting a strong commitment to nurturing young talent and encouraging early engagement in emerging technological fields.

In addition, e-awards were presented to researchers in recognition of exceptional, excellent, and extraordinary oral presentations, celebrating high-quality scientific contributions. Notably, the Emerging Scientist Award for postdoctoral researchers was not awarded this year, adding anticipation for strong contenders in the next edition.

Participants expressed great enthusiasm for the upcoming SAIL-27 conference, scheduled for April 22–25, 2027, in Indonesia. With its growing global impact and inclusive vision, the SAIL conference series continues to strengthen international collaboration while inspiring the next generation of innovators in sensors and artificial intelligence.
