Preliminary Round Instructions
- Grouping method: All department students are divided into 4 groups for evaluation (each group is evaluated by 4 teachers).
- Evaluation method:
- Each group creates a poster and delivers an oral presentation; evaluation is based solely on a "Pass" or "Fail" system.
- If 1–2 evaluators give a "Fail," the group must update the poster within one month. If evaluators still give a "Fail," the group will be disqualified from the next round, and will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- If 3 or more evaluators (including exactly 3) give a "Fail," the group will be disqualified from the next round, and will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- All group members must attend the evaluation session. Except in cases of special circumstances (as defined by departmental meeting resolutions), any student absent from the evaluation will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- Presentation time: 12 minutes per group (8 minutes for the presentation + 4 minutes for Q&A), following the presentation order below.
- Evaluation locations: Conducted in 4 different venues.
