Reference Guidelines:

  • For detailed regulations, please refer to the "Key Points for Professional Capability Graduation Thresholds and Remedial Measures of the Department of Electronic Engineering" (Link).

Graduation Threshold Standards:

  • Programming Proficiency Threshold: A C/C++/JAVA programming proficiency test is held every semester at the Information Engineering Laboratory. Every student is required to pass this proficiency test.

  • Professional Capability Audit Items: (Minimum 5 points required)

    • Awards in External Competitions: 4 to 10 points per award.

    • Professional Certifications: 3 to 8 points per certificate. (Restricted to professional technician certificates recognized by the Department).

    • Patents: 3 to 15 points per patent.

    • Undergraduate participation in NSTC (formerly MOST) research projects: 6 points per project.

    • Journal or Conference Papers: 5 to 10 points per paper.

    • Admission to Graduate Institutes in related fields: 3 to 8 points per admission.

    • Others: As determined by the Professional Review Committee.

Graduation Threshold Certification Method:

  • Students Enrolled in Academic Years 101-108:

    • The Department will offer the "Electronic Engineering Professional Capability Certification" course in the second semester of the senior year (4th year). Apart from the Programming Proficiency Threshold being a mandatory prerequisite, 60% of the course grade is based on the point system, requiring at least 5 points from the aforementioned "Professional Capability Audit Items."

    • 40% is based on regular performance (e.g., class participation, completion and submission of various documents and questionnaires, etc.).

    • Students who fail to meet these requirements must retake this course.

  • Students Enrolled in Academic Year 109 and Onwards:

    • In addition to the above graduation threshold standards, students must complete professional elective courses divided into two modules: Computer Engineering System Module and Microelectronics Module. Students must complete at least one module before graduation.

    • Mid-term Counseling: Class mentors will periodically review student progress.

    • Final Review: Students must complete the "Student Professional Capability Graduation Threshold Review Record Form" in the second semester of the senior year, which will be reviewed by the Professional Review Committee.
