Domestic Academic Conferences:

  • Definition:
    Conference held within the country (including both domestic and international conferences). For international conferences held domestically, master’s students must first apply for funding from the National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) within the specified deadline.
  • Subsidy Items:
    Registration fees and long-distance transportation costs (excluding taxi fares).
  • Relevant Regulations and Forms

  • Application Procedure:
    • Submit the following documents to the department office at least two weeks before the conference.
      (If the total funding exceeds NTD 10,000, please apply one month in advance.)
      • Funding Participation in Domestic Academic Activities of Students (must be signed by the advisor)
      • Conference agenda
      • Acceptance letter
      • Full paper
  • Reimbursement Procedure:
    • Within two weeks after the conference, submit the following to the department office for reimbursement:
      •  Student Report on Participation in Domestic Academic Activities
      • Receipts for registration fees and transportation expenses
    • Reminder: If taking the High Speed Rail (HSR), students must purchase a student ticket.

International Academic Conferences:

  • Definition
    Conference held abroad.
  • Subsidy Items:
    Registration fees, airfare, and living expenses, subject to the annual funding budget.
  • Relevant Regulations and Forms
    • Regulations for Funding Participation in International Academic Activities of StudentsLink
  • Application Procedure
    • Master’s students must first apply for funding from the NSTC or other external funding agencies.(Please pay close attention to the NSTC application timeline; applications must be submitted no later than the end of the month two months before the conference.)
    • Submit the following documents to the department office at least two weeks before the conference:
      • Application for Participation in International Academic Activities of Students (must be signed by the advisor)
      • Conference agenda
      • Acceptance letter
      • Full paper
      • Proof of approval or rejection from NSTC or other external funding agencies
    • ​​​​​​​Reminder:
      If the acceptance letter is received after the NSTC application deadline, you should still submit the application immediately and provide relevant supporting documents.
  • Reimbursement Procedure
    • Within two weeks after the conference, submit the following documents to the department office:
      • Record for English Presentation RehearsaReport on Participation in International Academic Activities of Studentsl for Participation in International Academic Activities of Students (must be signed by the advisor)
      • Record for English Presentation Rehearsal for Participation in International Academic Activities of Students
      • Receipt for registration fees (including credit card or remittance proof)
      • Airfare receipt (issued via travel agency, if applicable)
      • E-ticket
      • Boarding passes
