For the 113 Academic Year, the senior project production for fourth-year students will hold a Project Production Competition and Exhibition of Results. The related information is outlined below:
Competition Dates
- Preliminary Round: March 12, 114 (Wed)
- Semi-final Round: May 7, 114 (Wed)
Preliminary Round Instructions
- Grouping method: All department students will be divided into 4 groups for evaluation (each group will be evaluated by 4 teachers).
- Evaluation method:
- Each group will produce a poster and deliver an oral presentation. The evaluation is based solely on a “Pass” or “Fail” system.
- If 1–2 evaluators assign a “Fail”, the group must update the poster within one month. If evaluators still assign a “Fail”, the group will be disqualified from the semi-final round and will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- If more than 3 evaluators give a “Fail”, the group will be disqualified from the semi-final round and will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- All group members must attend the evaluation session. Except for special circumstances (as defined by departmental meeting resolutions), any student who fails to attend the evaluation will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- Evaluation venue: Conducted at 4 different locations.
Semi-final Instructions
- Grouping method: Excluding the advisor’s group, all teachers will participate in the evaluation.
- Evaluation method:
- Each group must display the final product, production presentation, and deliver an oral presentation, as well as exhibit the project report and work log.
- If 2 evaluators assign a failing grade, the group must be re-evaluated before graduation; if 5 evaluators assign a failing grade, the group will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- All group members must attend the evaluation session. Except for special circumstances (as defined by departmental meeting resolutions), any student who fails to attend the evaluation will receive a failing grade for the project competition and exhibition for that semester.
- Evaluation Criteria:
- Innovation in design (Semi-final): 20%
- Completeness of documentation (including necessary hardware/software descriptions and work log): 10%
- Usability of the product: 20%
- Integrity of physical production: 50%
- Evaluation Venue: Various laboratories in the Electronics Building
