As the application of the Internet of Things and big data drives the development of Industry 4.0, our department will offer a "Second Specialty - Embedded Systems" starting from the 106th academic year. The curriculum will be based on the "Design Thinking Workshop Practice" in the first semester of the first year, leading students to learn cross-disciplinary integration, inspiring students' creative thinking, and allowing students to continue to discover problems and strengthen their problem-solving skills when studying future professional courses. The course will be taught from the basics to the advanced level, allowing students from different fields to have a complete learning experience. Finally, in the "IoT Internet of Things and Sensor Practice" course in the first semester of the fourth year, students from different departments will be divided into groups, allowing each student to make good use of their own expertise, such as product design, product customization, product practical design, system integration, etc., to work together to complete the project.
Students from other departments who complete a second specialty can pursue careers as embedded systems engineers or project managers within businesses. They are also welcome to pursue a master's degree in electronic engineering. Students from all universities interested in the embedded systems industry are welcome to participate.
